Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC)

Diamond is the hardest material known to man. Synthetic diamond or Polycrystalline Diamond commonly known as PDC is produced by high temperature and pressure apparatus. When bonded to a tungsten carbide or similar substrate we refer to it as a Polycrystalline Diamond Compact or PDC.

This product is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to tingsten carbide for cutting highly abrasive materials or high speed machining of wood and other non-ferrous materials.

SS11 Series - PDC has a slotted junction plane. Thickness of the diamond layer between 1.2mm to 2.2mm.

SS111 Series - PDC adopts new net slotted junction plane, which better removes the internal stress of the PDC, meanwhile the thickness of the diamond layer increase in the range of 1.8mm to 2.5mm providing a significant increase in wear life and stability of PDC.
